West Palm Beach · Palm Beach · Part 91 dry lease
Aircraft leasing for West Palm Beach and Palm Beach — a Citation CJ1 based in the county.
Our Citation CJ1 is hangared at Palm Beach County Park Airport (LNA) in Lantana — in Palm Beach County, roughly 5 nautical miles south of Palm Beach International (PBI) — and available now. We dry-lease it for Palm Beach County people and businesses: you supply your own pilot, hold operational control under Part 91, and pay direct costs instead of an operator’s retail rate.
Palm Beach County
The jet already lives here
Elsewhere in South Florida, the honest first answer is a distance. For West Palm Beach and Palm Beach it’s the easy one: the aircraft is hangared in the county, at LNA in Lantana.
LNA is a county-owned general aviation field rather than an airline hub — which is exactly what a light-jet base needs. The airplane sits in a hangar out of the weather between flights, and you can walk up to it before you sign anything. Come see her as she sits: visits at LNA are by appointment.
You deal with the people who own the airplane, not a brokerage desk — a family company, two generations deep, and a phone an owner answers.
LNA and PBI
Palm Beach County’s airports, from a lessee’s chair
- Palm Beach County Park Airport (LNA) — Lantana’s general aviation field and the jet’s home.
- Palm Beach International (PBI) — the county’s airline airport, roughly 5 nm north of LNA. It exists to move airline passengers at scale; a light jet there shares that sequencing.
- Boca Raton (BCT) — a general aviation field to the south, roughly 13 nm from LNA.
Under a dry lease the departure airport is your decision and your pilot’s. If your pilot prefers PBI, positioning there is at your cost, under your lease. Why we chose LNA.
Airport information here is general orientation only — confirm current services, hours, fees and access with the field directly and with your pilot before operating there.
What you’re leasing
A 2001 Cessna Citation CJ1, kept like it’s ours
Six passengers in a club cabin, Pro Line 21 avionics, single-pilot certified — one qualified pilot where insurance allows. Inspection-fresh and hangared at LNA, with scheduled maintenance and airworthiness upkeep covered by the lease. Ask and we’ll send the records before you visit. See the CJ1 →
The numbers
What it costs, line by line
- The aircraft: $1,750/hr on a block of at least 25 hours, good for 12 months — or $1,950/hr pay-as-you-go with no commitment. Rates are indicative.
- Fuel: roughly $600/hr, at CAA member contract pricing at CAA Preferred FBOs, where available.
- Your pilot: typically about $1,000–1,500 a day, paid by you directly to the pilot.
Landing, handling, catering and overnight hangar are yours too, as for any Part 91 operator. On the site’s example — a round trip from our base to Atlanta — a dry lease pencils out around $9,500 all-in; chartered, the same trip typically lands near $15,000. Illustrative, not a quote.
Starting at LNA, there’s no positioning leg to add. Run your own route from LNA in the estimator — every assumption is editable.
Who it fits
Who dry-leases a jet from Palm Beach
Frequent charter customers
If you charter 15+ hours a year from Palm Beach, you already know the retail rates — and the 9 AM “no availability,” the repositioning fee, the stranger in the left seat. Same class of jet, direct costs, hangared in your county.
Families who fly private
A six-passenger club cabin for the places you already go — Nassau is about an hour from Lantana — flown by a pilot you choose, hire, and pay directly, under your operational control.

The dealer side
Buying or selling a turbine aircraft?
Dry leasing is the business — but as a dealer we also help clients buy, sell, and source turbine aircraft. We represent, source, and vet turbine aircraft on behalf of clients. Tell us the make and model you’re after, or the aircraft you’d like to sell.
We’d rather tell you an airplane isn’t right than make a bad fit. See the fleet and sales desk →
What you handle
- ✓Your crew — a pilot you choose, hire, and pay directly (we can share a list of independent pilots, or bring your own)
- ✓Insurance naming you as the operator
- ✓Operational control of every flight, under Part 91
- ✓Fuel and trip costs — landing, handling, catering, overnight hangar
What we don’t do
- ✕Sell flights, seats, or air transportation
- ✕Provide, pick, or schedule your pilots
- ✕Hold a Part 135 certificate — by design
“Aircraft leasing” covers a lot of different things — charter brokers, jet cards, fractional shares, management. This is one specific structure: a Part 91 dry lease. We hand you the keys to a jet we own and maintain; you do the driving.
Need a flown-for-you trip instead? That’s a charter — and we’re deliberately not a charter company. We’re happy to point you to a certificated Part 135 operator.
